I think the long-form I tried in the past won't work during an
election. I'm already told it is way too long.

We all have a few possibilities.

   a) Take the questions that CIPPIC sent in the past and send them to
candidates.

   http://www.cippic.ca/index.php?page=election2004q

   b) Join in with the folks from Vancouver who are trying to come up
with questions.

   c) Ask candidates for their thoughts on the series of issues which
Michael Geist posted to his Law Bytes column today.

   d) Build something based on the longer-form questions I used in the
past. http://ottawa.digital-copyright.ca/PreElectionCandidateQuestions

   e) Something different? All of the above?

   What are your thoughts, Robert?

I'm also wanting to learn about any regional groups that are active
in the campaign to add to http://www.digital-copyright.ca/election2008

Also, if you read about any candidate who has offered their views on
technology law issues please either blog about it or post it to this
Canada-wide list. (In the latter case I will then blog about it,
attached to the correct riding).

If there is a local chapter group in your area, please join in. Help
to advertise to everyone when candidates debates of events with
candidates are happening. Try to get personal meetings with folks, and
if you have questions print them out and have them near the door so you
can hand them to anyone from the election that comes by. Wonder over to
election offices of all the candidates (not just the one you have chosen
to vote for) and see what the views are there.
