[d at DCC] Fair use question

Hello all,

Looks like I might have made a booboo recently. The quick description
is that a friend and I were discussing Free and Open Source Software,
and eventually made a recording using lyrics he pulled out of thin
air. Turns out that the melody may be from an Adam Sandler song (from
the movie, the Wedding Singer.)

Anyway, I'm looking to find out if this recording (I produced it with
a laptop and microphone) would be in violation of copyright and/or
some other form of IP. If so, I need to take the files down. Guess I
jumped the gun - I released our recording under a Canadian Commons
license and within a day another version showed up.

The full story can be found at

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
