[d@DCC] A Question on the Petition

Hey all,

I'm new to the list, and just starting to take up the cause. As a start,
I've been looking at passing a petition around and seeing what I can do.

I want to clear up a point to make sure my petition will be admissible.
Under "Address" "full home address or city and province" is stated in
brackets. Does this mean either:

"123 Something Street"

or

"Ottawa, Ontario"

are valid entries? Or does 'full home address' mean everything: street,
city, province, postal code? Oh btw, I'm in Ottawa South so my MP is
David McGuinty.

I have to admit, I'm not well versed in the legalities of the current
state of Canada's Copyright situation, nor what exactly the results will
be from the recommendations of the committee overseeing its changes. I
have been trying to read relevant documents, but as I have no experience
in dealing with the law on this level, I find my self overwhelmed. I do
know enough to realize that the recommendations could cause some serious
harm. I would appreciate any suggestions as far a literature is
concerned in addition to the sites, and documents I am currently
reading.

thanks very much,
