All students, professors and members of the public (especially developers,
community activists and those with an interest in digital democracy) are
invited to a public workshop and talk: Citizen engagement in e-democracy:
Reflections on recent projects.

Speakers: David Mason, co-developer of the Canadian versions of
publicwhip.ca and theyworkforyou.com (The original UK sites are
http://www.publicwhip.org.uk and http://www.theyworkforyou.com . The
versions under develpment are http://capublicwhip.zooid.org and
http://twfy.zooid.org .

David Mason will talk about his projects and the place of open source in
Canada. Liss Jeffrey, PhD, director McLuhan global research network,
University of Toronto, will address "Citizen engagement and e-democracy:
What's on the horizon?"

The workshop will be held Wednesday, November 17 from 11:30 AM to 1:00
PM in the Fauteux Building Room 102.
