A rough ball-park figure for one province alone (Newfoundland and
Labrador) gave me about $1.5-million/annum. That's based on about K$300
collected in respect of provincial employees, and about $1.2-million for
grade-school students. This is in a province which, admittedly, has a
disproportionately large civil service, but also a disproportionately
small number of school kids.
The civil service figure could easily be larger than my ballpark figure,
depending on the status of things such as health and school boards. The
definition of "Government Offices" in the PTGT is almost a recipe for
dispute, if not outright litigation.
Thanks for the clarification on the other points!
