Yes, but not in that phrasing by any means.  Who's "you"?  I'd rather
phrase the last sentence "We further call upon Parliament not to extend
the term of copyright; and to recognise the right of citizens to
personally control their own communication devices."  Note that in that
phrasing I also moved "not to extend" first because otherwise it's an
ambiguous sentence structure, and looks like we're calling on Parliament
to recognize the right not to extend copyright.
