Just as an illustrative example, istr that for marine VHF, 15W is
generally considered to be the "high power" mode of most units. Marine
radio carries many importnt transmissions, like distress calls, notices
to navigation, and negotiations to avoid collision (in which the caller
usually states something which would indicate she[0] has right of way,
and asks if the other vessel notices her). Lives and large amounts of
property can be lost if these transmissions are interfered with.

regardless of the gender of her skipper :)
