At one point, Microsoft owned SCO outright. They set up a division in
Santa Cruz to do Unix work. Then the Santa Cruz Operation became an
independent company, SCO. Rumour had it that the senior Unix wizards
threatened to quit unless they got that to get Redmond off their necks.
Microsoft retained a block of stock.

Do they still have that block?
