Talking about onerous EULAs. I today reviewed for a client the
Microsoft EULA included with the Symbol PPT 2800 handheld which
includes Microsoft's Pocket PC 2002.
It says in part:
"COPYRIGHT. All title and intellectual property rights in and
to the SOFTWARE ... are owned by MS or its suppliers. ...
This EULA grants you no rights to use such content."
It's hard to read legalese. It seems to be saying no one can use the
operating system supplied with the unit.
I'm sure that's not the intent, but I find it humourous.
