Is it just me, or is it kinda overkill to use a not-widely-adopted
privacy mechanism for IRC, whin this forum doesn't use any privacy
mechanism for its mail? Especially since the mail is archived and
published.
If were were restricting membership, and PGP-encrypting all our mail, I
could see the point, but we're not. (In fact, we don't even admit
PGP/MIME signatures because of lack of support - indicating a clear
preference for compatibility over security)
