If the MPAA-alikes are listened to, and there are TPM provisions in a
copyright reform bill, I propose that (when we pester our legislators)
we switch keys from "All TPM is bad" to "A TPM should only be
considered effective if it does not infringe on fair dealing and
democratic rights."

The point is to get TPM-supporters to point out that there's no such
thing as an effective TPM that preserves democratic and fair dealing
rights.

This probably would have made a more effective tactic for a
consultation, had I thought of it earlier.. oh well.
