(Please circulate)

   Please read http://www.digital-copyright.ca/petition/ict/blog for
updates. We recently received a copy of a government "response" to our
petition signatures, and I was then interviewed for an article in IT
World Canada as a follow-up to the article written for sister
publication ITBusiness.ca about a year ago.

If this issue concerns you, please write to your member of
parliament, write letters to the editor, and talk to your
friends/family. We are still wanting to table more signatures to the
petition so please continue to send signatures to us. We are being told
that with the new Ministers of Heritage and Industry that new Copyright
legislation should be expected sooner rather than later.

Thank you.
